Someone once said that prayer is not so much about changing God's mind as it is about changing us. When we pray, we begin to know the heart of God. Prayer is fundamental to the Christian walk, and it is, in the simplest of terms, a daily and ongoing conversation with God. Sometimes, though, it is even more. It is a communion with God through worship and meditation on his character and word. It provides a simple way for us to lay our cares at his feet. It also is the manner by which we confess our shortcomings, ask for what we need, and express our love for God.
