statement of faith

We believe the Bible is trustworthy and inerrant because it is God's Word.

We believe in the existence of God who, in Jesus Christ, became human, just like us, except that he was obedient to the Father in everything, even unto death in our place.  He was raised on the third day and will return, literally and physically, on the last day of history. He is the only way to life and forgiveness and, therefore, is the motivation for carrying the Gospel to all nations.

We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit who gives us life and spiritual gifts that we might serve Him in the church.

We believe God created the world. This leads us to approach the "hot issues" of our day in a thinking manner as we work to apply biblical teaching to issues of concern.

We believe the Presbyterian system of church government to be biblical. This means our church is voluntarily connected with and accountable to other congregations, and it means we are a church led by elected leaders who evidence biblical wisdom and maturity.
