Our Vision
Our desire is for children to grow up in the instruction and nurture
of the Lord. As a result, our primary objective is to assist parents
in the development and discipleship of their children.
Each child needs to know and trust the love
of Jesus Christ. Encouragement is a huge part of child development.
We want children to grow in their faith in a positive and encouraging
atmosphere. And we want to see them develop their spiritual gifts
and abilities. Since children are a gift of the Lord (Psalm 127:3),
we count it a privilege and opportunity to work with them.
Whats Available for Children?

Nursery
A well-staffed nursery
is provided for infants up to age 4 during all Sunday Worship Services
and Christian Education.
Parents are asked to fill out an information
card for the attendant, and to label all of their childrens
belongings. We have a silent number system so that parents can be
contacted during a worship service without disruption or embarrassment.
Sunday
morning PreSchool
We have programs designed just for preschoolers. Children's worship at 8:30, and Christian Education
at 9:45 are both offered every Sunday morning. Also, preschoolers
(age 4) are invited to Covenant Kids Club or Brigade on Wednesday
evening.
Children's Worship
This unique program allows children to
participate in age appropriate worship. Prayer requests are taken
from the children followed by a Bible story. Our adult volunteers
then remain with the children until parents come. Your childs
safety is a very high priority.
Children ages 4 years through 4th grade are dismissed from the Saturday Evening Service and Sunday Morning Services (8:30 and 11:00 a.m.) before the offering and Pastor’s message. The adult supervisor leads them to the children's area. Parents must then pick up their children after the service.
Christian Education
Sunday
Mornings are traditionally a time for "Sunday school". Parents realize
that education plays a crucial role in their children's development.
For that reason we have always provided Christian Education for
our children. Classes are divided according to age, kindergarten
up to 5th grade. The Christian Education hour is from 9:45 to 10:45.
The classes are designed to increase the biblical knowledge of each
child. In every classroom, the teachers apply the biblical stories
to life. We have acquired the best curriculum we could find. We
maintain both support and supervision for those classes. The teachers
are motivated and eager for parental consultation, and we provide
regular training and workshops.
Power Praisers
Power Praisers is the Covenant Kids Worship and Movement Team composed of children Pre-K-5th Grade. We meet on Wednesday Nights during the school year to learn new songs, sign language, dance and movement and perform for special events throughout the year. Children are invited to join us at any point in time, we just ask that they commit to being at practice at least 3 nights a month.
Children's
Brigade
After
the busy season of Christmas, Childrens Brigade starts up
(late January) and goes through May. This is not an evening Sunday
school class. Crafts, projects, competitions, camp-outs and
family events create a format that duplicates some of the good things
in Scouts, but with a biblical emphasis.
Vacation
Bible School
9:00 - 12:00 noon
(with after-care until 5:30pm)
Each
summer we invite “upcoming Kindergarten through 6th graders
to join us for a week of Vacation Bibe School. This is not only
for children in our church but from the community as well. Kids
come from all over to learn exciting Bible stories. Meeting every
morning for a week, children are exposed to the traditional VBS
format, but in a not-so-traditional way! The teaching time, crafts,
sports and refreshments use a learning-center model of education.
This makes it more exciting for the kids, as well as the adults!
Family
Activities
Every month there is a
family activity specifically designed to include children. It might
be a Fun Night at the beach with volleyball and organized games,
or the annual Fall festival with live music, a baking contest, bonfire,
costumes and a dunk tank. Picnics with all kinds of recreation and
friendly contests are held annually. Weve even had family
camping, and a day trip to Adventure Island.
Covenant Kids
Club
Covenant Kids
Club Covenant Kids Club meets on Wednesday night from August - November.
It is a fun filled night of games, Bible stories, crafts and snacks
to help equip our children for living the Christian life. CKC meets
from 7-8:15 and is a part of our church wide family night for kids
in Kindergarten through 5th grade
Little
Explorer's PreSchool
Welcome to the adventures
of the Little Explorer's Preschool. This exciting program is offered
to children 2 – 4 years of age. We meet on Tuesday, Wednesday,
and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until noon. We also provide aftercare which is from 12-2 on school days. The curriculum provides
a weekly theme which includes school readiness skills as well as
valuable Bible lessons. Our mission is to minister to children and
families in the community. We offer a safe, caring, and educational
environment for your child to discover and learn. Please contact
the church office (941) 926-4777 or LittleExplorers@covenantlifepc.com
